RAFTING IN

MISAHUALLI RIVER

Level III

It's a semi-rapid river, excellent for rafting and kayaking.

The Misahualli River is one of the most beautiful in the area. It has white and yellow sand and is an adventure spot to enjoy nature, the peace, and tranquility of this part of the Ecuadorian Amazon Rainforest. It has a 700-meter-long river beach that's perfect for relaxing and practicing water sports like swimming and tubing. It offers a very panoramic view, surrounded by trees and plants, where you can see "machins"monkeys and white capuchin monkeys, characteristic of the area. These monkeys are very mischievous, and it's recommended that tourists know that they can take their belongings and then hide in the forest. These monkeys find it a form of entertainment. Therefore, be careful with your personal belongings.

It is located in the Archidona Canton, 15 minutes from the town of Archidona, approximately 204 kilometers southeast of the city of Quito. The site can be reached by car in approximately 4 hours and 10 minutes.

It has an average temperature of 25°, which is very pleasant for visitors. It is important to note that the Misahuallí River, when it joins the Napo River, loses its name, having a great flow of water, becoming a navigable river that in turn flows into the Great Amazon River.

This river has a Category III for rafting, with these levels classified as moderate, perfect for less experienced rafters who can enjoy this fun adventure.
