Yatunyacu, meaning "Big River," offers spectacular Amazon rainforest scenery along its entire length. It's located near the city of Tena, 195 kilometers southeast of Quito. The site can be reached by car in approximately 3 hours & 50 minutes.

The Yatunyacu River originates in the Andean Mountains of Llanganates and is located within Llanganates National Park. The river has large waves and currents that are perfect for rafting at any level. It boasts a wealth of biodiversity and flows for several kilometers, feeding Amazonian communities along the riverbanks. It is possible to see different species of plants and animals along the way.

This river has a Category II and III for rafting, with these levels classified as easy and moderate, perfect for less experienced rafters who can enjoy this fun adventure.
