ANTISANA VOLCANO CLIMB

Itinerary Day 1:
Meeting with the guide for check the equipment in Quito office at 8:00 am
We will drive to Antisana Ecological Reserve
Lunch
Travel to Camping area
In our 4x4 vehicle we will arrive at the camping site & installation of Base camp located at 4490 meters (14371 ft.) above sea level
Information about the Volcano, history, animals, plants, etc.
In the afternoon we will have a talk & School of Glacier to handle equipment, depending on the weather.
Dinner & rest.
Itinerary Day 2:
Early on the second day at 00:30 am we will have a cup of tea and our bag pack with the necessary things, and we will go out the attempt to the summit between 6 to 7 hours to the sunrise around 7 am.
Begin the walk down to the Base camp.
Breakfast
Return to Quito.
NOTE: The Antisana Ecological Reserve rule is working in rope of 2 tourists with 1 guide, if one of the tourists makes the decision to go down without reaching the summit for any reason, all the ropes return, if the group is bigger and we have more guides there, one guide goes down and the others can continue climbing (just if it possible & if the other group agrees). Also, the guide will decide if the climb finish if we have any reason of risk, weather changes, etc.
