CUENCA CITY TOUR
Cuenca is the capital of the Azuay Province located in the south of Ecuador between the Andean mountains. It is known for its baroque colonial architecture, its museums, crafts and "Paja Toquilla" hat workshops. It has a very beautiful Historical Center with its central square, Calderón Park, the blue-domed New Cathedral and the 16th century Old Cathedral, which is currently a religious museum. It has an Archaeological Park and Pumapungo Museum where ruins and artifacts from the Inca city of Tomebamba are exhibited. It has the Tomebamba River that runs through the city.
