TROPICAL RAINFOREST

of

ECUADOR

 

jungle2.pngThe Amazon Rainforest of Ecuador have 12 million hectaires, approximately. Here we can find Rivers as Napo and Aguarico, Lagoons, streams, swamps, flora & fauna extremely diverse with more then 250 species of Amphibians for example frogs & salamanders, reptiles as nigers caimans, snakes, iguanas, 325 species of mammals as tapirs, monkeys, jaguars, etc.

 

 

 

Also we have more than 590 species of fishes for example pink dolphins, pirahna,jungle3.png over 1500 species of birds as toucans, macaws, harpy eagles & much more animals tipical of the tropical rainforests.

 

This ecosystem is full of surprises for its visitors, every tree there are hundreds of other plant and animals species in constant interaction.

 

 

 

In the RainForest the tourist jungle4.png can awaken all five senses to discover how exotic life forms have envolved to live together in a minmal extend of land. The embracing sounds tell of the various birds and insects that keep this living forest in constant change.

 

The temperature in tropical rain forest is quite stable, with a variation between day & night.

 

 

However this ecosystem is far from being stable.

 

Rainfall is seasonal an result in major changes for the living organisms. Disturbances also add to the high dynamics of this ecosystem.

The Ecuadorian rainforest is home to nine natural reserves, including the two largest mainland protected areas: Yasuni National Park & Cuyabeno Reserve.
