NORTH SEYMOUR ISLAND
Navigable Day tour
North Seymour island is located near Baltra Island; it is named after an English nobleman named Lord Hugh Seymour. It has an area of 1.9 km² and a maximum altitude of 28 meters. It was formed by the uplift of an underwater lava formation.
On this island, we can primarily find Galapagos sea lions, blue-footed boobies, and frigate birds.
Seymour was formed by a series of underwater lava flows containing layers of sediment uplifted by tectonic activity. The island is characterized by its arid vegetation zone.
